Dear friends and family, As many of you know, we are now in the process of adopting a precious little boy from China. His Chinese name is Luo Zhong and he will be turning 2 on March 5th. We will be naming him Aaron Jacob Zhong, to be known as AJ. He and Emma will be almost exactly 3 years apart. Emma has been asking us for a baby brother for at least 2 years now and she is finally getting her wish. *** Tell about the situation with as much detail as possible - a child's name, birthday. It makes it a reality. You are asking for help for ONE specific child! When we did decide to proceed with another adoption, we realized that we would have to come up with a lot more money in order to bring our son home, so we embarked on a few different types of fundraising. We are having a yard sale in October. Lots of our friends and neighbors have donated many items for this sale. All the proceeds will go straight into “AJ’s fund”. We are collecting ink cartridges and turning them in to a company that recycles them, for which we receive $2.00 a piece. It doesn’t sound like much, but it adds up when you have half of Poughkeepsie saving cartridges for you! We also have created a web site and flier, where we are selling a few quality gift items that all have our favorite saying on them…”Happiness Is A Forever Family”. We will also be selling these items at local flea markets. Let them know ALL your efforts. You are working diligently to bring this child home. Many people will be more willing to help you if you have shown you are helping yourself

So far, we have had quite a few sales from our flier, and ink cartridges are being handed over to us every day. We have also had a few very special friends send us donations towards the adoption costs. They felt they would like to directly contribute to bringing AJ home, rather than us having to take costs out of their purchases of any of our items for sale.

We have enclosed our fliers with this letter to you. Our web site address is on the bottom of them also. Please feel free to pass the fliers and web site address on to anyone you think might want to help us raise the money needed to bring AJ home. We greatly appreciate all the help we can get. Emma wants her baby brother home by the end of the year, and that is what we are striving for. Your "call to action. It's clear. Your goal. Your need. Their steps of action. Take these flyers and give them to people in your circle of influence.
